You don't just pay the hospital anymore. I had 5 different bills coming in with no way to pay them. I told them that first thing. but they said it was an emergency. My bills would be much more had I gone to all the follow ups. I have both Medicare and Blue Care yet cannot afford to go to the Doctor. The Advanced diagnostic imaging and mmr ambulance company also found it necessary to turn the bill into collections even though I sent money every month. So now they dinged my credit too. When I called the lady said it looked like my insurance had paid. Well so did I, but they didn't refund anything. It's a mess and I worked 30 years and more with other jobs much of them contribute to the health problems. Crazy, I don't think my parent's had these cost and I was involved enough that I would have known. This needs to change.
