Why does it cost so much? And what can we do about it?
It’s possible that this video, titled “This Cost How Much?” and made last year, is even smarter now than it was then.
Now that the Supreme Court has ruled on the individual mandate, now that the presidential election is over, now that open enrollment period is here, suddenly we are all horrified at the costs of health care.
In other words, now that the political and judicial landscape is somewhat settled, the actual problem of the actual cost of health care can be addressed.
The theme is our favorite: patients need to know cost and quality. Right now they know neither.
The video, by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation from last year, was brought to my attention by my buddy, the famous E-patient Dave DeBronkart.
